It started with coffee, conversation, and a shared love for the scent of sawdust. Today, it’s a workshop filled with the hum of machines, stacks of solid wood, and the sound of laughter between friends. Meet Tarik, Nermin and Damir — the trio behind “Drvo&Duša”, a young carpentry studio that’s redefining handmade furniture in Sarajevo.

This year, they’ll be showcasing their original pieces at Living 2025 – Everything for Your Home and Soul, and trust us: you’ll want to meet them.

Built on Friendship and Good Design
The three friends come from different backgrounds — Miloš studied industrial design, Tarik is a self-taught carpenter, and Nermin worked in interior styling. What united them was a frustration with mass-produced furniture and a desire to make pieces that last, both physically and emotionally.

—“We wanted to build things that feel like home,” says Nermin. “Not just look nice in a catalog.”

In 2022, they rented a small garage space, pooled their tools and ideas, and began crafting their first custom shelves and stools for friends. Word-of-mouth did the rest.

Wood with Soul
What makes Drvo&Duša different is their approach: they use locally sourced hardwood, avoid synthetic coatings, and focus on clean lines with visible joinery. Every piece is made by hand — no shortcuts, no templates, no mass production.

Their bestsellers? Floating wall shelves, cube side tables, and low coffee benches with slatted bases. You’ll see all of them — and more — at their booth at LLiving 2025.
